My Name

The etymology of my name is German and Scandinavian which makes sense because I'm from Finland, a country in Scandinavia. For my name is Joonatan, which you can see that the spelling is different from the English version, Johnathan. The name, Johnathan, probably started when two names, John and Nathan, were combined. From England it then probably expanded to the other countries in Europe and then eventually to Finland. The name Joonatan doesn't really mean anything but I'm cool with it. No one can't really make any fun of it. I don't know why my parents chose me that name, I believe it was because my 1 year older cousin was named as Joni, and so Joonatan is kind of similar. Although my full name is Samu Joonatan Makinen, Joonatan is my first name and Samu my second name. That's why people sometimes mix up my name and call me Samu which I hate. You see I don't like the name Samu. My parents chose that to my second name because there's a disney character named like that and they thought I look like him.
I've had few different nick names my friends used. In Finland most of the people called me Jonsku but that's a typical nick name. Like for example, in UK And USA you would probably call me as Joohny or John or Joon because that's a typical nick name. I have an artist name for myself since I like rock music and am planning for playing in a rock band. Just like most of the other rockers I know, have an artist name, my artist name would be RockJoon Lee.

Hercules' Journey

I’ve been reading Hercules myth and what I’ve read so far is what I’m going to tell you about in this blog post. So the main character is obviously Hercules and he is the son of Zeus. Hercules is very strong unlike other boys and likes sports and adventures. Hercules doesn’t have a specific quest but he is trying to reach for some kind of adventure and hard life since his childhood was very boring. Hercules doesn’t have any physical obstacles during his journey of life because he is so strong and not afraid of anything but instead he has emotional obstacles. For example when Hercules has to marry his stepsister and wants to marry another princess instead. He decides to have a revenge on his family kills them. For that the gods decide to punish Hercules by making him work as a slave for his cousin. This is where his hard life begins.
